Each year, the company provides several apprentice position in a variety of occupations. Quality and continuity speak for themselves. BIW is furthermore involved in educational fairs and school projects. In doing so, the successful company supports young adults in the realisation of their occupational goals“, so Thomas Helm, Manager of the Agentur für Arbeit Hagen, at the handover of the award to BIW Managing Director Ralf Stoffels. The company is well aware of its social responsibility and has been assisting young people in their successful first step toward their career for many years. In August 2015, another five young people will commence their education at the Ennepetal location. Their prospective is good for further career opportunities and full employment, following the successful conclusion of their education. Managing Director Ralf Stoffels is highly committed to people in the region and community work with his own foundation for social engagement, adolescents, culture and urban development. ”Seeing beyond one‘s horizon is an obligation for every successful company which is closely linked to its location – through its employees who are vital for the success of the company. Today, BIW is the European market leader and actively engaged in the world market as the so-called ”hidden champion“. In view of demographic development and the lack of experts, BIW sees no alternative to a dual education system and the investment in education“, says Ralf Stoffels during the interview.
